Vuselela works with project hosts (target clients) to originate and establish the eligibility of projects for compliance with the CDM system.
Each project is developed within a separate company, or special purpose vehicle (SPV), specifically set up for the purpose. Vuselela typically looks to invest in co-generation plants of between 2MW and 20MW and costing from US$5 million upwards.
Vuselela’s business models are highly flexible and offer the target clients a range of options to suit their individual requirements. In each case Vuselela will participate in the economic upside of the SPV regardless of the model chosen.
Most prominent are:
- Co-Investment Model
- Build Own Operate & Transfer Model (BOOT)
- Energy Conversion Agreement Model (ECA)
